    In 1856, he was married to Miss Louisa Lankford, daughter of Jesse Lankford, and sister of the present circuit clerk of Saline county. Soon after his marriage, Mr. Durrett moved to the farm where S. P. Allen now lives, where he lived until he bought the farm he now lives on from Mr. Lankford, situated six miles east of Marshall, and containing 240 acres of prime land. He has only one son, Frank, who is twenty-four years of age.
