Be it Remembered that on the twelfth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one Wm. Chapman & Diantha Goodale of the County of Portage were legally joined in marriage by competent authority, in conformity to the provisions of the statues of the state of Ohio, in such cases made and provide; and a certificate of such marriage, signed by A. H. Burroughs a Justice of the Peace for said County who solemnized the same, has been filed in the office of the Clerk of the Court of common pleas, for said County of Portage, this sixteenth day of October Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and twenty one."
