Boltons of Old and New England : With a Genealogy of the Descendants of William Bolton of Reading, Mass. 1720, p. 8, show a daughter Eleanor, saying she was listed as a heir. However, guardian records and settlements show only 5 heirs (Abigail over 14, William, Thomas, John and Nelly under 14) and this is undoubtedly the daughter Nelly (i.e., Ellen) listed by a different form of her name.
