From the local newspaper: "A quiet wedding of much interest to a large circle of friends was celebrated Wenesday, at high noon in the chapel of St. Mark's church, when Miss Mary Sage Brinkmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Charles Brinkmann Sr. and Mr. William Anton Barth, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania were married in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends. The bride was radiantly lovely in a handsome black satin gown with trimmings with sauterne pony fur, and accessories to match. She carried an arm bouquet of sweetheart roses and valley lillies. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Marion Church of Dallas. Mr. and Mrs. Barth left immediately after the ceremony in their car for a bridal trip to New Orleans, and on their return will be at home in their apartment which has already been beautifully furnished for them at 2824 Highland Ave. Mr. Barth, who is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, has lived in Shreveport only a short time, and is a geologist for the Arkansas Natural Gas Company. Many delightful entertainments are being planned in Mrs. Barth's honor on her return."
