- ↑ William's wife is given as "Mary" in the baptism records of Sarah, Mary, and William (assuming that these are the correct baptisms). Other children of a William and Mary were baptized at St Martin's in the period. Only Lydia, Sarah, Phoebe, Mary, and William are mentioned in their grandfather, Benjamin Bache's, 1792 will. It is not certain that the St Martin's baptisms are of the correct family. (It is fairly clear, however, that Lydia, Mary, and Phoebe were married there.) A Mary, wife of William Bache, was buried at St Martin's 18 Dec 1760 (before the baptism of William there.)
