A memorial of an indenture of lease bearing date the fourth day of April in the year of our Lord God 1797 made between Ann Forster of the town and county of Cavan widow of the one part and Wm Babington of said town and county merchant of the other part whereby the said Ann Forster doth demise grant set and to farm let unto the said Wm Babington all that field or town park situate lying and being in Aughnaskerry adjoining the town of Cavan containing three acres more or less and then in the possession of the said Wm Babington To have and to hold the said demised premises from the first day of May 1796 for and during the term time and space of 31 years or for and during the natural life or lives of John Babington the eldest son Elizabeth Babington the eldest daughter and Harriett Babington the younger daughter of the said Wm Babington party thereto and the longest liver of them at the yearly rent of L3:8s3d sterling for every acre said field contains which said indenture of lease is witnessed by Moutray Erskine gentleman and Danl Fitzpatrick then both of the town of Cavan and this memorial is also witnessed by the said Moutray Erskine and John Babington Wm Babington (seal)
