Utica Daily Press, 29 June 1922: MISS DOWNS IS BRIDE IN A HOME CEREMONY Whitesboro, June 28-- Miss Blossom Elnora Downs became the wife of Wheeler Arthur Davies in a ceremony at the bride's home, 17 Dennison AV, this morning. Rev. M.G. Buck of Ocean City, formerly pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated. The ceremony was performed under an arch of evergreens, ferns and pink roses. The couple was attended by Miss Blanche and Harold Downs, sister and brother of the groom [!]. The bride was attired in a gown of white canton crepe... Lois Davies, sister of the groom, was the ring bearer. Arthur E. Davies, father of the groom, sang "Till the Sands of the Desert Grow Cold" and Miss Olwen Davies, sister of the groom, played the wedding marches... Following a dinner... and a reception, Mr. and Mrs. Davies left by automobile for an Adirondack trip. Upon their return they will reside at 17 Dennison AV. References
