Holley Standard, 25 June 1931: TURNER--DURGEE Announcements have been received by friends here of the marriage of Miss Marion Durgee of Long Island to Mr. Wayne O. Turner, on Tuesday, June 23, at The Little Church Around the Corner, New York City. Miss Durgee was formerly a teacher in the Holley High School. Oswego Palladium-Times, 30 June 1931: TURNER--DURGEE Parish, June 30-Miss Marion Durgee, daughter of Mrs. I.A. Durgee of Parish, and Wayne O. Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira S. Turner of Port Jervis, were united in marriage Tuesday morning June 23 in The Little Church Around the Corner, New York City. The bride wore navy blue chiffon and carried pink roses and snapdragons. Miss Irene Durgee of Southampton, Long Island, maid of honor, wore blue flowered chiffon and carried yellow tea roses. Charles Loogan of Port Jervis was best man. Following a dinner for the bridal party at Hotel Flanders, the young couple left for a trip through eastern New York and the New England states. Mrs. Turner is a graduate of Parish High School and of Brockport Normal School, and a former teacher in Islip, Long Island. Mr. Turner is a dealer with the Farm Produce corporation of Port Jervis. The young couple will reside during the summer at Chester, New York. References
