  3. At four o'clock this afternoon Miss Blanche Bucher and Mr. Walter S. Thompson were wedded at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Bucher of Parkdale. A number of guests from the city were present. Miss Lillian Bucher, sister of the bride, attended her as bridesmaid, and Mr. Otto Kettner was groomsman. The Rev. J.J. Staley heard the plighted vows and declared the young couple to be husband and wife in his usual felicitous manner. The home was very tastefully decorated with flowers and greens.
The wedding supper was partaken of at the new home of Mr. Thompson, the groom, who recently bought the property at the corner where the car track turns to Eastlake. Improvements have been made to the house, which is now the most prettily located cottage in Parkdale.
The bride is a young lady well known and esteemed in Manistee and Parkdale. The groom is the son of S.C. Thompson, and is associated with his father in the real estate business, making a good reputation in business circles.
Mrs. E. Stanley and Miss Eva Thompson of Grand Rapids arrived yesterday to attend the wedding.
The happy young couple will be gone for a few days on a wedding trip, probably crossing the lake.
