"There Is matter in the court records regarding the birth of the child by his first wife; but though she seems to have died at or soon after the birth of this child, the date of marriage to his second wife is believed to be an error since it would hardly occur in less than two weeks after the first wife’s death, and probably the date should be 1678 instead of 1677.
