Lola Smith, Vernon Wilson United in Reno Ceremony
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon O. Wilson are making their home at 680 North Bush Street, following their September 4 wedding in Reno, Nevada.
The Former Mrs. Lola M. Smith and Mr. Wilson exchanged their marriage vows in the Christian church in Reno, where they spent the long Labor Day weekend. They plan a longer wedding trip later.
Both are natives and lifelong residents of Mendocino county and have a wide range of friends.
For her wedding the bride wore a mauve-rose lace dress with navy accessories, and her corsage was of orchids.
Mrs. Wilson is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Ball, pioneer residents of this county. She has a daughter and a son, Mrs. Barbara Brumback and Ronald Dumas, both of Ukiah, and two sisters, Mrs. Lilburn Gibson and Mrs. Harold C. Holliday. She has been employed at Mendocino State Hospital for several years and will continue her work there for a time.
Mr. Wilson, born and reared on the Coast, has been a resident of this city for several years. He is employed by the Simpson Lumber and Logging Company of Arcata and comes home for weekends. he is the son of Mrs. Mary K. Gordon of 144 Clara avenue, and has a daughter, Linda, of Manchester. He has four sisters, Mrs. Ben Romaine, Mrs. Lee Gordon Schamber, Mrs. Ernest Stintsman and Mrs. Newall Rawles, all of Ukiah.
