Heisterkamp's Annotated Landis Ferree Tree (as of 30 April 2004) The WorldConnect Project (Laverne Olney - 8 February 2001) lists 9 children born from this marriage. The Cope Family, pages 20-21, states in 17120 Thomas and Ruth signed an indenture conveying to James Whitacre two hundred sixty acres of land. This land was part of a tract of five hundred and twenty two acres, that Edward Shippen and others, William Penn's land commissioners, patented to Thomas Buffington, of the township of Bradford. The land was situated in the fork of the Brandywine Creek. References
