Matilde's parents never married and there is no record of them ever living together, at least in Madrid based on the records available at the Archivo de Madrid. She did not appear on the padron of either of her parents until 1930, and that was her mother. Matilde’s father left her with some debts in his will when he officially recognized her a few months before his death in 1929; this debt was mentioned by a judge in Madrid in 1930 and related to a house under construction that her father owned on Calle de Santa Engracia, 84. The property was set to go up for auction in order to clear those debts. A special summary proceeding on 12 November 1930 published on 25 November 1930 mentioned Matilde Locatelli in connection to it. The address of this house has changed following a redoing of the street numbers early on in the Franco period. |
