FROM THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER:"The marriage of Miss Elizabeth Anderson Brinkmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis C. Brinkmann, and Mr. Olin Justus Baird was celebrated on Wednesday at 2 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, the ceremony taking place in the presence of relatives and close friends only. The house was beautifully decorated. Ferns and shasta daisies were used in lavish profusing. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. James M. Owens, rector of St. Mark's church. There were no attendants and the bridal couple entered to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march played by Mrs. Gerald Baird. The bride, who is a very beautiful girl, was radiant in a modish suit of white khaki-kook with touches of black velvet. With it she wore a velvet crown and cher corsage bouquet was of lavender orchids and valley lilies. After the ceremony ices and cakes in the color scheme of green and white were served. Mr. and Mrs. Baird left the same afternoon for an extended bridal trip, going to Washington and Detroit before joining Mr. Baird's mother Mrs. A.W. Baird, who with his brothers, Mr Leland Baird and Mr. A. W. Baird, Jr. are in New York for the summer. Those present at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Fancis C. Brinkmann, Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Brinkmann, Jr., Miss Lillian Brinkmann, Miss Mary Sage Brinkmann, Mrs. Reggie Brinkmann, Mr. A.W. Baird, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Baird, Col., and Mr. G.W. Hardy. Mrs. Baird is a lovely and charming girl and has been most popular in socitey since her coming to Shreveport with her parents to reside. Mr. Baird is a son of one of Shreveport's most prominent families and is a young man of sterling qualities."
