Notes

William and Josiah McGuire are possible siblings. They both married Lockhart sisters, daughters of Andrew Lockhart and Katherine Frantz. Additional research is necessary to prove this suspected relationship.

Some researchers believe the father was a Cornelius McGuire of Tazewell County, Virginia, but additional research/records are needed.
