- ↑ Source:Stratton, Harriet Russell. Book of Strattons, Vol. 2, p. 218, gives Mary's name as Mary Fellows when she remarries. Since she is not listed in the 1850 census of her parents' household, it is presumed she married by then. A promising lead might be the 1850 census entry of William H. and Mary Fellows. There is a confusing entry for what appears to be the same couple in 1860 (since husband's age and birthplace don't quite match and the one child in 1850 is not there which could be a death or it could indicate a different family). This couple is found in 1870 in Pennsylvania but not in 1880, which may or may not mean the husband died. The youngest child here would have been 12 when Mary married and moved to Tennessee but no trace of him is found either with our Mary or elsewhere. So unable to close any circles...
