'The widow, Mary, married 2d, Mr. Denison, at some time before March 7, 1698-9, at which date "Mrs. Mary Robins alias Denison" appeared in court and made oath regarding the estate of her deceased husband, John Robbins. In 1709 she is found spoken of as the Widow Denison. Inquiry has so far failed to show who Mr. Denison was; his is not a Wethersfield name, and it does not appear in any other connection in the town records.'
