- ↑ Sarah was identified as "Sarah Cady, widow" in her second marriage. Goldthwaite (Boardman Genealogy) identifies Sarah's first husband as Nicholas Cady of Wethersfield, who died about 1761. However, Nicholas married Sarah Wright in 1749, and there appears to be no reason to believe that he later married Sarah Boardman.
Sarah named her last child Nathaniel Cady Churchill, which suggests that her first husband's name was Nathaniel Cady - however, a candidate Nathaniel Cady is not obvious.
