  1. Source:Stackpole, Everett Schermerhorn. History of the Town of Durham, New Hampshire (Oyster River Plantation) with Genealogical Notes, p. 84, says Timothy Wentworth m. Sarah Cromwell before 1698. This is probably based on the assumption (explained in the Wentworth Genealogy, p. 155) that his son Timothy was at least 21 when he executor to his father's will in 1719, hence born by 1698. However, the marriage has been estimated about 1696 because according to Source:Wentworth, John. Wentworth Genealogy, p. 155, Timothy was given land by his parents 27 May 1696 which was often motivated by a pending or recent marriage as a way to get young people established. Further, he bought a house in 27 Apr 1696 and his wife Sarah participated in the deed selling this house in 1702, suggesting it was purchased to provide the new couple with their residence.
