    Mr Tim'o Lawrence & Miss Rhoda Reed both of Littleton, June 17, 1792.

  2. ↑ Some careless record keeping appears to have muddled the picture somewhat, but it appears Timothy never actually went through with this marriage. His wife Sarah d. 19 Feb 1792, per her gravestone (presumably not the imprecise "1793" found in the town records). This above intention with Sarah's sister Rhoda is recorded 4 months later, but then Timothy married Molly Boyden 2 Jan 1794.

    Note that the guardian files for Rhoda (see her page) in 1809 describe her as "Rhoda Reed of Littleton aforesaid spinster lately the wife of Timothy Lawrence late of said Littleton".

    It would appear the marriage was annulled, or possibly never completed??
