  2.   Source:Connecticut Nutmegger (Connecticut Society of Genealogists), p. 40:195, "William Reed of Weymouth and Boston Massachusetts and Some of His Descendants" by Jane Belcher, in discussing Joseph Reed, says he m. as his third wife 13 Dec 1752 Tabitha Herrick. This article suggests she was "probably" Tabitha Hewitt, though all that is known is that Timothy "married a woman named Tabitha". If so, her parents were Benjamin Hewitt and Marie Fanning, she was baptized in Stonington 24 Jul 1792 [sic, 1692]. She wrote a will as Tabitha Herrick 10 Oct 1748; was admitted to the church in Norwich in 1758 as "wife of brother Joseph Reed", from Preston; died 19 Dec 1760; will probated 14 Jan 1761.
