Elisabeth Balfour. Gedoopt 24 Juni 1609.
Getrouwd 18 December 1635 met kapitein Thomas Wight.
Zij is de eenige dochter van David Balfour en Anna Bacx.
Thomas Wight was reeds in 1620 als luitenant in Bergen op Zoom in garnizoen, zooals blijkt uit de volgcnde stedelijke resolutie van 17 Januari 1620:
"Op versouck van Thomas Weijght, luitenant van de compagnie van capiteijn Coutts, is geresolveert dat men hem van stadtwegen zal vergunnen brieven van attestatie, als dat hij hem altijt wel ende getrouwelyck in sjjnen dienst heeft gequeten gedurende de compagnie hier garnisoen gehouden heeft."
De Bergsche logieslijsten vertoonen enkele hiaten.

Coutts had dus promotie gemaakt en vermoedelijk werd Wight toen benoemd tot kapitein.
In Januari 1628 komt Thomas Wight met een eigen compagnie in Bergen op Zoom.
Tot Nov. 1637 vinden wij onveranderd:
Kapitein Thomas Wight.
Luit. Thomas Honeywood.
In October 1639 is de indeeling:
Kapitein Thomas Honeywood.
Luit. Mattheu Huntley.
Thomas Wight komt niet meer voor, blijkbaar is hij eind 1638 of begin 1639 wegens wangedrag ontslagen, dit blijkt uit een brief, door Thomas Morgan 5 Febr. 1639 geschreven:
No. 54. I cannot refrain from troubling our Honorable Mightinesses with these few lines, now that the circumstances of Captain Wight are under discussion, who has been bannished bij Your Honorable Mightinesses and to request very humbly that it may please You to appoint the said captain Wight again his former command, and to pardon the misconduct of which he has been guilty; as I doubt not that Your Honorable Mightinesses will henceforth he greatly sattisfied with him; and this as being his Colonel I could not refrain from requesting all the more because the good lady, his wife has recently lost her father, Colonel Balfour, who served the country so long and faithfully and if her husband remains in bannishment, she would be utterly ruined.
(Kolonel Balfour stierf 29 November 1638). Blijkbaar is uit dit huwelijk Wight Balfour kind geboren:
