Carrie Odessa Nix md. 21 Mar 1922, DeKalb Co., Ala., to Willie Ester Roden, b. 7 Mar 1900, DeKalb Co., Ala., d. 26 Jan 1982, bur. Belchers Chapel Cem., the son of William B. Roden and Ammie Swann. They had four children: 1.Opal Irene Roden, b. 19 July 1923, DeKalb Co., Ala. She md. Luther Carroll. 2.Ola Lee Roden, b. 4Mar 1925, DeKalb Co., Ala. She md. (1) W. L. Camp, Div. She md. (2) Arlon Proctor.

3. Thomas Franklin Roden, b. 12 Oct 1929, DeKalb Co., Ala., d. 19 July 1974, Boaz, Ala., bur. Belchers Chapel Cem. He md. (1) Thelma Camp, (2) 3 July 1971, Charlene Sanders. He had at least one son by Charlene and I thought had his name but can�t put my hands on it right now.

4. Willie Walter Roden, b. 4 Jan 1938 , DeKalb Co., Ala., d. 15 May 1992, Etowah Co., Ala., bur. Belchers Chapel Cem. He md. Betty Perkins. His obituary does not list Betty as a survivor . I do not know whether she died or if their was a divorce. He and Betty had two sons: a.Willie J. Roden b. Johnny Mack Roden.
