    ...Thomas Richards was born in Virginia before his father emigrated. He married Margeret Givens, of Madisonville, in October, 1820. Miss Givens was the daughter of William and Rebecca (Kenney) Givens, both of Virginia. William Givens was a Revolutionary hero as well as Lewis Richards, being present at the surrender of Cornwallis, at Yorktown. He also took part in the early settlement of Kentucky. Thos.
