  3. An article presenting a transcription of the will of Thomas Paine (MD, Vol. 28, p. 160), is not able to identify Elizabeth, but notes the inclusion of Mrs. in one record and not in the other. One would assume she is a widow given the age of Thomas, but there is reference in the probate of Jonathan Paine (as noted on his page), Thomas's son, about the estate making annual payments to Mrs. Elizabeth Paine, suggesting she was alive in 1752, and thus one would assume, much younger than Thomas.
