James Noble the second son of Dr. Thomas Noble, was born in Battletown, Clark Co., Virginia, Dec. 16th 1785, and d. Feb 26th 1831, in Washington, D. C. He is buried in the Congressional Cemetery. He married Mary Lindsey, (a daughter of Thomas Lindsey Sr. and his wife Rebecca Harris), b. Aug 24th, 1783, in Ireland.
