    "Avis Lane … m. by 1635 Thomas Lincoln, cooper {1636, Hingham} [TAG 64:214-15, 65:106; Hingham Hist 3:3]."

Anderson appears to have tentatively accepted (1) the identification of Thomas Lincoln "the cooper" of Hingham as the child of that name baptized at Beaminster, Dorsetshire, 19 January 1606/07 and (2) the Mary Lincoln baptized at Beaminster 11 November 1635 as the daughter of this couple.

  2. Savage also includes in this family a daughter Sarah "brot. and d. soon aft. arr." If she were born before Mary, the estimated marriage date would be a year or two earlier. There is (barely) enough room for her to have been born, but not recorded, either in transit or very soon after the parents arrived in New England.
