Thomas fflintt and mary brown both of Concord was married by Justice minott January 15 : 1717.
- The "Flint Genealogy", Source:NEHGR, p. 14:60, lists the children of Thomas Flint and wife Mary Brown: Dorothy, Mary, Thomas, Lucy, Henry, Josiah , Charles, John, Edward, and probably Ruth who m. in 1766 Capt. Bradwill Smith of Weston. (This is repeated in the reprint of the article, also in Source:Crane, Ellery Bicknell. Historic Homes and Institutions and Genealogical and Personal Memoirs of Worcester County Massachusetts, p. 226.) The "probably" is a hint that no such birth is recorded, and none is found in Concord VRs though all the other children are there. The age at death of Capt. Smith's widow puts her birth in late 1726 or early 1727. As Thomas and Mary had Lucy, b. Oct 1725, Josiah b. Mar 1726/27, Charles born Jul 1729, there is not much room to squeeze such a birth in. Capt. Smith actually married the widow of Ephraim Flint, "mrs Ruth Flint of Lincoln", whose maiden name was Ruth Wheeler, so there was no daughter Ruth.
