  3. 3.0 3.1 Note: In the Arlington record, based on the minister's records, "May" was filled in by the compiler of the VRs based on the context. The Cambridge records, presumably based on the minister's return, says July. Secondary sources are split (History of Cutter Family has May, History of Cambridge and NEHGR, p. 107:30 have July). In old-style dates, which ended just a few years before this, July would have been the fifth month, while in new-style dates, May would be the fifth month. So perhaps this is an interpretation issue involving a numeric month? The first child was baptized Dec 1758 so works with either date, and regardless of the date, the involvement of Rev. Cooks suggests it occurred in the parish of Cambridge now Arlington.
