    7 Aug 1810- William Cryer represented that his brother Timothy Crier died intestate, leaving plantation, slaves, etc., and no relations except his father Thomas Cryer and brothers, petitioner and Morgan Cryer. Inventory showed one slave and personal property.

    Aug. 24, 1810- Inv. [inventory] in presence of William and Morgan Cryer, sons of the decd. and of Apsell (Arell?) Cryer, his wife. One improvement on Silers Creek $500; slaves, crops, cattle, etc., $3415.

    p 53; [reference to Conveyance Book B, 363] Thomas Cryer of St Helena Dist, to his beloved friend Morgan Cryer, for his services, gave slave Jenny (age 6), born "in my house," daughter of my slave "Lady."

    p 57; [reference to Conveyance Book B, 89] Gift Deed, 28 Jan 1810, Thomas Cryer of First Division, St Helena District, to "my loving son" Morgan Cryer of same, gave "all the negroes," namely one negroe woman name Liddey, negroe boy Doss, negroe girl Chloe, negroe boy child Noble, likewise all my goods & chattles belonging to my son Timothy Cryer, dec'd.
