It shows 13 descendants of Thomas BARTLETT c1705 with matching Y-DNA, Haplogroup E1b. It also shows 5 descendants of Thomas BARTLETT c1670 of Essex Co, VA with matching Y-DNA, Haplogroup R1b. These two lines cannot be related for over 10,000 years. Perhaps a different Thomas BARTLETT might be the son of Thomas c1670. There is NO record showing that Thomas BARTLETT c1705-1783 of Richmond Co, VA was ever a Captain, or served in the military or militia. There is NO record linking the Thomas BARTLETT c1705-1783 with Thomas BARTLETT of Essex Co, VA [I've searched for over 30 years]

We need to keep looking for the parents of Thomas BARTLETT c1705-1783. After years of searching Richmond Co, VA (and other NN counties), I'm coming to the conclusion that Thomas may have been the immigrant, c1720s, possibly an indentured servant.
