    "This is to certify that it appears from records of this office that on this day to wit: the fourth of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine and the one hundredth and seventeenth of the Independence of the United States of America (Nov 4 1889) was registered a marriage celebrated in the City of New Orleans La. by Rev.Father J. F. Lambert on the 26 day of October 1889 between
    Theophile E. Lucas (33 years) a native of New Orleans, son of Theophile E. Lucas and Catherine E. Lacey and Miss Catherine Fagan (30 years) a native of New Orleans, daughter of Simon Fagan and Catherine Farrell.
    The celebration was performed in the presence of the witnesses F.A. Shannon and Josephine Shannon.
    The License was issued on 26 day of October 1889 by Hon. C. M-- ex offic. ----
