    Sydnor Belfield (1758-1841)
    married Nov. 28, 1782 Richmond Co. Ann Young of Essex County agreeable to a recording in CCPR, p 203. Sydnor Belfield born Sept. 12, 1758 was the son of Capt. John Belfield and Ruth Sydnor. Sydnor Belfield died Feb. 22, 1841 in the 83rd year of his age. His will remains of record in Richmond Co.Will Bk 10, P 349. Among the children of Sydnor Belfield and Ann Young were:

    1. John Belfield born17__ and died March 1829.
    Married Peggy Croxton of Essex Co. VA Feb. 6, 1807
    Richmond Co.
    Daughter Maria Belfield married Edward Sydnor Saunders May 8, 1833 Richmond Co.
    She was born Dec. 18, 1813 and died April 21, 1877.

    2. Anna Maria Belfield born Feb. 22, 1788 and died May 28, 1816.
    Married George Saunders Feb. 8, 1810 Richmond Co.
    He was born Oct. 9, 1786 and died Jan. 25, 1843.
    He married (2) Mary S. Neale Feb. 18, 1819.
    Their son Edward Sydnor Saunders born Oct. 30, 1810 married Maria Belfield the daughter of John Belfield and wife Peggy Croxton.
