Book of Appendices to the History and Genealogy of the Ancestors and Some Descendants of Stukely Westcott, 1592-1677, p. 141, says, "By some it is said he m(1)-Mary Gallup, dau. Joseph and Jemima, and that there were 3 chn. by this union." The children in the will are "Lydia, Stukely, Job, John, William, Mary, Gilbert, Rachel, James, Catherine" (Franklin Probate 4597). Job's birth is estimate is 1780 based on age of death, John's birth is 1787 based on age of death. His second marriage is 1787 so it appears there were 3 children before he remarried. But Stukely was born 1758 and it would be unusual that he married before 1779, so how could he have 3 children by 1780? So something isn't as it seems.
