Note: Source:Wilcox, Herbert Augustus. Daniel Wilcox of Puncatest and the Genealogy of Some of His Descendants, p. 51, says that Stephen Wilcox married as his second wife Judith Briggs, d/o John and Hannah Briggs. As this source does not explain why it identifies Stephen's second wife as Judith Briggs, it is hard to guess what this is based on, and it appears to be wrong. There is no marriage record for such a marriage, nor any birth record for a likely Judith Briggs, to be found in either Dartmouth or Nantucket. Further, the marriage record of Judith (Coffin) (Folger) Barnard^S1 clearly identifies her husband as Stephen Wilcox of Dartmouth, and both individuals had just lost their previous spouses in the years immediately preceding this, so it appears to be a likely match.
