    Mary, [dau. of Nathaniel & Mary ([Woodward?]/Woodhead[?]) Gove], born Jan. _, 1690; married first, Thomas, son of Thomas and Jane Martin of Marlborough, Mass., Jan 31, 1710-1. He [Thomas Martin] died Oct. 4, 1729, at Marlborough. She married, second, Simon Stevens, who had been married to Mary Wilder of Lancaster, Mass., in 1701.

  3. The marriage record includes the statement "late of Plainfield [CT]". The Metcalf Genealogy (p 50) notes that two of Simon's sons (Cyprian and Jonathan) settled in Plainfield and the History of Marlborough states that sometime after the birth of his children, he moved to Plainfield. He must have returned to Massachusetts sometime before 1732 for the record to read as it does.
