Genealogy of the Descendants in America of William Holton (1610-1691) of Hartford, Conn., and Northampton, Mass, p. 109, shows 5 children in this marriage, but Hubert Herman Holton, b. 1846, seems unlikely for the reason that he is not listed in the 1850 census. No record of such a person is found, and it seems there is great possibility of confusion with brother John Hubert Holton born almost exactly a year later, for whom records are found.
