Husband's name?

Several online trees show that it was Samuel Purviance who married Lettice Dinsmore, but without providing evidence, and no evidence seems to be easily available online. The 3 applications for membership in the Sons of the American Revolution referenced here[1][2][3] appear to either build on each other or use a common source, but the name of Lettice's husband changed between the 1897 application and the 1915 application - and neither name given in these applications was Samuel.
