Samuel Hunt, Jr. left a widow Dinah, who m. (2) Dr. Benjamin Shattuck.

The marriage between Dinah Hunt and Benjamin Shattuck on 13 Nov 1740 is recorded in Source:Harwood, Joseph Alfred. Records of Littleton, Massachusetts, p. 92. With Samuel Hunt dying in 1739, the first thought would be that this is Samuel's widow Dinah (---) Hunt, remarrying. According to Source:Shattuck, Lemuel. Memorials of the Descendants of William Shattuck : The Progenitor of the Families in America That Have Borne His Name, p. 109, Dr. Benjamin Shattuck was born Watertown 8 Dec 1713. It also says that Dinah is the one described on p. 341 of the Littleton Records: "1791. 17 May was buried The Widow Shattuck aged 78 a professor of Christianity". This would place her birth also about 1713. For this to be all one person, it means she married Samuel and had a son by 1733 when she was 20 and he was 37. On the other hand, she is too old to be Samuel's daughter and there is no birth record in Littleton for a Dinah Hunt. So until further evidence is presented, that she was Samuel's young bride, then widow, seems the most likely case.
