[This is followed by a list of the children of Samuel and Abigail Bowne. However, the three children born between Abigail and William, in the gap 1754-1763, namely Sarah, Samuel and Mary, who all died in their infancy, aren't listed. Knowledge of these three children come from the Friends' records. It is not clear why these births are missing from the Bible, as other children dying in their infancy were faithfully recorded?]
