First child born 25 Apr 1725 which works with either, but tends to favor the 1723 date if normal sequencing of events is assumed. The original is here, has 1722 interlined. It is hard to read the original, it could be re-asserting the '2' so it is not obscured by a smudge, or it could be correcting a '3'. The page contains returns from Rev. John Cotton from 1722 and 1724-1726], oddly none from 1723. The Middesex County records show these marriages as 1723 here. All in all, it seems it probably should be 1723.]
