Samuel (Belcher) … m. (1) say 1668 Mary Cobbett (in his undated will, proved 22 November 1685, "Thomas Cobbett, pastor of the Church of Christ at Ipswich," referred to a debt due "from my son Belcher for what he oweth us for stockings and shoes for Samuel and for the one half of his diet since his mother died … it now being about an year and half since my daughter died" and bequeathed to "our grandchild Samuel Belcher … [and] to his sister Elizabeth Belcher" [EQC 9:558, 552-3; see also NEHGR 60:250, citing SPR Case #5707]).
