In about 1470 a Roger HONING of Algarkirk had (at least) two sons - William and Thomas. It is not possible to establish their exact relationship to their kinsmen in Algarkirk - but they must be related, given how small the villages of South Holland were, and the uncommonness of the name. William and Thomas were, in all probability, younger sons of Roger, for they both left Algarkirk to make their lives elsewhere - Thomas to Aston-juxta-Birmingham in Warwickshire, and William to London.
