Robert Norman Summach September 17, 1917 -- August 11, 1996
Robert Norman Summach was born at Tregarva, Saskatchewan September 24, 1917. He was educated at Avondale School. He married Esther on October 14, 1939. They lived and farmed in the Avondale District.
Bob spent most of his life serving others. At the Asquith Baptist Church he served his Lord as Sunday School Superintendent, as Deacon, and in song. He served as Town Councillor and Mayor and spent many hours maintaining the Asquith streets. He served on school boards, Credit Union boards and committees. He retired from farming in 1974 and continued serving others.
He was an avid sportsman. Fishing, hunting, curling and bowling were some of his favorite activities. He loved all TV sports. He had a special love for gardening.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be best remembered by the children as "Candy Bob". The music played today was requested by Bob.
