Robert Stewart, born about 1764, is said to have removed to Kentucky. A Robert Stewart of Lexington parish married in Amherst county (bond Dec. 5, 1792) Sally Miles, daughter of Joseph Miles, the surety being Thomas Stewart. They were married by Rev. Will Crawford. We suppose that this Robert died before 1808, when Sally D. Stewart, a widow, married in Amherst county (bond Aug. 22, 1808) Samuel Arrington, the sureties being Benjamin and James Miles."
