  1. Wheatley Family by Donald Drury.

[4] Winfrede Wheatley s/o John [1] was born circa 1692.
She married Robert Rosson a joiner (carpenter). They had three
children, [20] Elizabeth, [21] Ann, and [22] Mary Rosson.
Robert Rosson wrote his will on 2/10/1733 and it was probated
on 5/14/1773 (20:662). His wife Winfrede was named executrix
and his three children were also named in the Will.

... Sundry publications cite Winifred Wheatley's husband as John Horn
For example, see Annie Walker Burns, Maryland Marriage records
"Hep-Hyn" (Annapolis: privately printed, 1938), 165 which cites Perogative
Court (Testamentary Proceedings)23:150 Md. State Archives. The Hodge File
at the Md. State Archives, cataloging marriages implied through court
records, makes the same assumption. The cited document shows that
John Horn stood as surety for the widow of John II, an act that does imply a
relationship of some type. Satisfactory evidence for the identification of John
Horn as Winifred's husband has not been found, to the present writer's
    (Mr. Carley) knowledge.
