Robert and Dorothy had four children, one son and three daughters. Robert's obituary reads, "Services for Robert H. Lomont, 53, of 365 Tweedwood Drive, New Haven will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven, and 10:30 a.m. in St. John Catholic Church, New Haven. He died at 5:30 a.m. yesterday in Parkview Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Oct. 11. He was a native of Jefferson Township and had resided in New Haven 16 years. Mr. Lomont was an accountant for Phelps' Dodge Magnet Wire Co. for 29 years. He was a World War II veteran. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a son, Robert Jr., Fort Wayne; three daughters, Martha Lomont, Fort Wayne, Annette Lomont, at home, and Mrs. Donna Hitzeman, Hicksville, Ohio; two brothers, Cletus, Monroeville, and Joseph, New Haven; and six sisters, Mrs. Ursula Sockrider and Mrs. Mary Brinker, both of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Edna Reuille and Mrs. Monica Knecht, Monroeville, Mrs. Catherine Ristau, Geneseo, Ill., and Mrs. Carolyn Hill, Janesville, Wis. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, with Rosary services at 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Friday 29 October 1976, pg. 2C] DOROTHY D. LOMONT, 63, died Sunday in Indian Village Health Center. The Garland, Texas, native lived in Fort Wayne 30 years. She retired as manager of I.R.N.W. Credit Union after 10 years, and was the widow of Robert H. Sr., who died in 1976. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Surviving are daughters Donna D. Hitzeman of Hicksville, Ohio, Martha A. Kleber of Yoder and Annette M. Salinas of Robstown, Texas; a son, Robert H. Jr. of Fort Wayne; a brother, James Frazier of Corpus Christi, Texas; and six grandchildren. Services will be 8:30 a.m. tomorrow in Elzey-Dickey-Haggard Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, and at 10 a.m. in the church, with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Calling is 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Preferred memorials are gifts to the church.
