↑ Sarah (Hosmer) Conant is named as the wife of Robert Conant in her sister Mary's will of 1767. Estimated marriage before 1740 is based on the assumption that Daniel is a child of this marriage, since he is tasked with maintaining his father's widow in his father's will. But this is not known for sure. Lydia is definitely a child of this marriage, so the marriage is certainly by 1746 based on her birth on 26 Apr 1746 (see Source:Stow, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records to the Year 1850, p. 26). There does not seem to be a death record for first wife Esther, who was alive when daughter Martha was born in 1733 (ibid).
