- All the children were born at Smeeton Westerby, christened at Kibworth Beauchamp. Father Richard died at Arnesby and buried at Shearsby, Elizabeth Wells was buried at Shearsby. Richard was a Miller so were many of his children. Richard in his will 1738 mentions his Father Wells, so we know we have the right Elizabeth Wells. Also Richard and Elizabeth’s son John Weston 1722-1767 lived and died in Shearsby, he was the miller. Their grandson John Weston 1749-1791 lived and died at Shearsby. The wills can be found on findmypast.
