Genealogical Notes of Barnstable Families, p. 151] is correct in making his wife the daughter of Isaac1 Wells." [Note: Besides the critical letter, i or e, being added by assumption above, one of the Ralph Chapman's children, Isaac, is made administrator of Isaac Wells' widow, suggesting the connection to Wells is valid.]
